2015 Badger’s Brook Estate Sauvignon Blanc
Concentrating on mainly the tropical fruit flavour enjoyed all over the world. This wine has tropical fruits such as passionfruit on the nose, but then swithes to more Tahitian lime nuances on the palate. It has great flavour intensity, yet remains young, fresh and zesty, with a long and crisp finish. This wine is designed to be enjoyed young.
2014 Badger’s Brook Estate Chardonnay
2014, was a warm growing season. Our Chardonnay was hand picked at optimum ripeness. As such this Chardonnay shows rich melon and stone fruit flavours on the nose as well as on the palate, also on the palate are nuance of nectarine and peach and these are surrounded by harmonious flavours derived from careful oak integration. This wine is still a baby and will need time to develop.
2013 Badger’s Brook Estate Pinot Noir
A medium weight Pinot Noir displaying rich black cherry flavours on the nose, with some underlying stewed plum characteristics. The palate is tight but continues with the rich black cherry flavours, hints of raspberry and plums combined with some carefull oak integration. Matured in Seguin Moreau and Siruge Oak for 11 months, this is probably the most complete Pinot Noir we have made in the last 10 years.
2012 Badger’s Brook Cabernet Sauvignon
Picked in Late April, This 2012 Badger’s Brook Cabernet Sauvignon is a deep morrelo cherry colour. This wine displays juicy cassis and bramble fruit with a delicate mocha undertone. The palate is classic Yarra Valley Cabernet; forest fruits, cherry and dark plum. A beautifully structured wine with persistent flavour and intergrated tannins. The Wine is 90% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Merlot. This wine will continue to evolve with careful cellaring for the next 10 years.
2013 Badger’s Brook Estate Shiraz
The grapes for this wine were picked in Autumn and were given extended maturation after crushing with a gentle pump-over of the must. The wine was then placed into a combination of French and American Oak for 2 years. This wine is a rich full flavoured Shiraz showing blackberry characters and stewed plums. The palate is rich and full bodied. The tannins are solid but softening with age. This wine is a keeper and patience will be rewarded.
